- We are experts in oil (hydrocarbon) in water monitors for concentrations ranging from ug/L (ppb) to mg/L (ppm). Detection limits for crude oil, gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel and fuel oils have been demonstrated at 10 ppb in purified water. A large number of systems routinely monitor drinking water for gasoline and diesel fuel at 30 ppb in river water. Highly specialized monitoring programs extend into niche arenas for which we can customize systems to meet customer needs.
- We maintain an in-house laboratory that is specifically utilized for application confirmation and method development. We utilize in-house instrumentation and expertise to validate instrument performance for customer applications prior to manufacturing and delivering systems worldwide. Essentially, all customer applications are validated prior to instrument shipment to qualify the effectiveness of our products to meet customer needs. This speeds installation start-up and reinforces successful customer operation of our instruments
- We employ highly skilled field support personnel with field service available in all areas of the world. A worldwide support network allows customers to receive regional support for service and applications needs. Service personnel are deployed from regional support centers based in North America, Asia, Europe, West Africa and the Middle East.

Hydromem(TM) of Conor Pacific/WTI
The Hydromem System is specifically designed to efficiently treat shipboard bilge water. The system treats free oil, emulsified oil and contaminants. The Hydromem demonstrates performance that exceeds Canadian National and International standards for meeting oil content limits for direct overboard discharge of bilge water. Turner Designs Hydrocarbon Instruments provides the non-fouling TD-4100 continuous on-line monitor to Connor Pacific / WTI. The TD-4100 and Hydromem are fully IMO MEPC 60(33) and Canadian Coast Guard Certified to the TP 12301E Standard for 5 ppm bilge alarms (for Canadian Inland Waters).

SITELAB Corporation designs and sells custom field test kits for on-site petroleum hydrocarbon analysis of soil. The siteLAB™ UVF Analytical Test Kit (pat.pending) is a turnkey package that enables field staff to extract, analyze and report tests for petroleum hydrocarbons detected in soil during site assessment programs. The siteLAB™ method is recognized by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Turner Designs Hydrocarbon Instruments provides the TD-700 laboratory fluorometer to SITELAB Corporation.

Analysis For Hydrocarbons in Glycol.
Refineries and Gas Processing Plants use Glycol to dehydrate oil and gas, reducing the amount of water to less than 0.5%. Once the glycol has dehydrated the hydrocarbon the glycol is “rich” with water and hydrocarbon.

New Hand Held Oil in Water Meter for Produced Water and Crude Oil in Water
Turner Designs Hydrocarbon Instruments (USA) announces the next generation rugged and reliable oil field oil in water monitors for crude oil and produced water applications. The industry leader who brought you the TD-360 FastHEX and the TD-4100 XD continuous on-line oil in water monitors has just released the TD-500 TM hand held / bench top oil in water meter for crude oil. The new UV Fluorescence meter measures oil in Produced Water, Desalter Tail-Water, Crude Storage Tank Water, and in any application where crude oil may be in contact with water. It is viable for all crude oil and most gas production condensates.
It uses the same easy-to-use FastHEX procedure used on the famous TD-360 with the same high accuracy and repeatability but the new TD-500 meter is half the price of the nearest competition. The analysis method is compatible with all popular solvents including hexane, Vertrel, AK-225, Freon, xylene, and others.
The TD-500 is powered by 4 AAA batteries, weighs less than 1 pound and produces oil in water measurements in less than 4 minutes. It requires no special training and measurements correlate to EPA standard oil and grease laboratory methods. It is completely sealed meeting IP 67 Standard. It is water-proof, dust-proof and corrosion-proof and carries the CE mark.
