TD-4100 Oil in Water Monitor bilge alarm receives US Coast Guard certification for IMO Resolution MEPC.107(49)!
Turner Designs Hydrocarbon Instruments, Inc. of Fresno, CA, USA announces that the USCG has completed the certification of the TD-4100 for bilge water monitoring per International Maritime Organization requirements MEPC.107(49). This certification replaces the original IMO Resolution MEPC. 60(33) with new and updated test standards. The independent laboratory testing involves oil in water measurement parameters for two different bilge oils and vibration and inclination tests.
The TD-4100 continuous oil in water monitor is qualified for oily bilge water discharge monitoring applications in any marine application. It is also certified by Transport Canada to a special Canadian bilge water discharge requirement of 5ppm according to the “Standard for Performance and Test Specifications for Bilge Alarms for Use in Canadian Inland Waters”.
The TD-4100 sets the standard for oil in water measurement with Ultraviolet Fluorescence (UVF) technology to detect and measure oil in water in all industrial and marine markets. UVF is the standard technology for the entire Turner Designs Hydrocarbon Instruments’ product line including continuous on-line monitors and bench top oil in water analyzers.

New Hand Held Oil in Water Meter for Produced Water and Crude Oil in Water
Turner Designs Hydrocarbon Instruments (USA) announces the next generation rugged and reliable oil field oil in water monitors for crude oil and produced water applications. The industry leader who brought you the TD-360 FastHEX and the TD-4100 XD continuous on-line oil in water monitors has just released the TD-500 TM hand held / bench top oil in water meter for crude oil. The new UV Fluorescence meter measures oil in Produced Water, Desalter Tail-Water, Crude Storage Tank Water, and in any application where crude oil may be in contact with water. It is viable for all crude oil and most gas production condensates.
It uses the same easy-to-use FastHEX procedure used on the famous TD-360 with the same high accuracy and repeatability but the new TD-500 meter is half the price of the nearest competition. The analysis method is compatible with all popular solvents including hexane, Vertrel, AK-225, Freon, xylene, and others.
The TD-500 is powered by 4 AAA batteries, weighs less than 1 pound and produces oil in water measurements in less than 4 minutes. It requires no special training and measurements correlate to EPA standard oil and grease laboratory methods. It is completely sealed meeting IP 67 Standard. It is water-proof, dust-proof and corrosion-proof and carries the CE mark.
