FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER
A world-leading manufacturer of hydrocarbon in water monitors and analyzers currently has an opening for a field service engineer. During service work, the field service engineer is expected to be out of the office for two or three days of the week and will spend one or two nights per week at hotels between work sites, if servicing the California area. He or she may be asked to perform commissioning and training on our analyzers and monitors both domestically and internationally.
The field service engineer must interface with clients during regular service visits, including issuing service visit reports. This activity may also include new product testing in the field and product evaluation.
The field service engineer may be required to interface with customers regarding preparation for the field commissioning, including issuing quotes, obtain purchase orders, preparing the customer for the work, obtaining necessary travel arrangements, writing commissioning reports, and following up with customers after the commissioning.
The field service engineer may also interact with customers who have problems with their monitors and analyzers and may help conduct repairs of monitors and analyzers received for repair. The field service engineer will report to the field applications manager, who is a corporate officer.
The field service engineer must have an engineering or technical science degree, have or be able to obtain a US passport and be able to obtain visas for various international countries. The field service engineer must be drug- and alcohol-free and willing to submit to random drug and alcohol testing. He or she must credit-worthy, insurable, and have a clean driving record.
